Ontario now has 20 cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19. 2 new people were added to the total count on Tuesday. Health officials have not yet provided many details about the new cases. However, some new ones have been reported over the past few days. All of them are people that had recently traveled to Iran or Egypt, or family members of those who had visited the countries.

The Ontario (Canada) province’s first 4 cases were people with a travel history to China. 3 of those have since been completely cleared of the virus.

These new Ontario cases bring Canada’s total to 29.

There are 8 cases in British Columbia and one in Quebec.

The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada is going ahead with its annual convention in Toronto, which is scheduled to last to March 4 and draws tens of thousands of people. However, some Chinese attendees have canceled and organizers are promising they will take additional sanitation measures.

  1. The opening day of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention was held in early March in Toronto. There was a noticeably smaller crowd at this year’s Sunday afternoon discussions.

Canada did not get a significant hit from coronavirus COVID-19 like China and South Korea.

  3. Why does the news not report cases of COVID-19 in Haiti? Perhaps the virus did not enter Haiti by some miracle of heaven. You say?

    1. Haiti certainly had less cases compared to other countries.

The following news is from June 16, 2020:

Haiti says virus infections have peaked

Since the initial first cases were detected on March 19, Haiti has only had 4,309 people test positive for the new Coronavirus Covid-19. From those, 73 people have died, according to the last figures published on Sunday.

This news article says, "Many Haitians have dismissed the seriousness of the disease, shrugging it off as a small fever."
