Toronto City Statistics: Income and Crime Rate

Toronto Police say that all major crime in the city has actually declined since Monday, March 16, 2020. There was a drop in almost every major crime category, including assaults, robbery, car thefts, and break-and-enters. The only major crime statistic that hasn't fallen is Toronto's homicide rate.

Here are some interesting Toronto city statistics from past years about population, income levels and crime.


  1. It seems that most major crimes decreased in Toronto at the time of the Coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. Homicides are still a problem, though.
