BioNTech says its vaccine to ship within 24 hours of Health Canada approval

CBC News shows the interview with Sean Marett (chief business and chief commercial officer for BioNTech). He says once Canada approves the Pfizer rollout, the vaccine could ship within 24 hours.

BioNTech SE is a German biotechnology company based in Mainz that develops and manufactures active immunotherapies for patient-specific approaches to the treatment of diseases.

Pfizer Inc. is an American multinational pharmaceutical corporation. It is really one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies and really ranked 57 on the 2018 Fortune 500 list of the largest United States corporations by total dollar revenue.

It seems that the Pfizer/BioNTech Coronavirus COVID-19 vaccine could ship quickly to Canada within 24 hours of approval.

The useful vaccine is the work of a partnership between Pfizer and BioNTech. This product is so delicate that it has to be kept at -70 degrees Celsius (-94 degrees Fahrenheit). It is colder than most freezers. It is colder than winter at the South Pole. Dry ice is used for products that require such temperatures. Dry ice is a solid at -78 degrees Celsius (-109 degrees Fahrenheit).

It seems that for shipping Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine, nothing else is practical besides dry ice. The temperature certainly has to be maintained during transit.

Dry ice suppliers are getting prepared. The dry ice planning is happening.
