Coronavirus: Canada could see 12,000 daily cases in January if stronger measures not taken

Global News shows Canada's chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam. She provided an update on the recent Coronavirus COVID-19 modelling data on Friday, which showed the country is heading towards 12,000 daily cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 by the beginning of January if no stronger public health restrictions are really taken.

Unfortunately, it seems that Tam said that the second wave's resurgence far exceeded the peak of the first wave, with over 70,000 active cases currently, compared to 52,000 active cases three weeks ago.

It seems that just over 1% of the population got infected with the virus and the vast majority is still unfortunately susceptible to get infected. People are encouraged to stick to their local public health orders. People are encouraged to stay home and far away distance from other people.

Pfizer made news with the approved vaccine arriving into Canada. Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc confirmed that the federal government will handle all of the Coronavirus COVID-19 vaccine costs including distribution, logistics and expensive transportation costs to provinces and territories.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is certainly an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without really much special treatment.

The virus spreads in various ways. The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or exhales. These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air, and quickly fall on floors or surfaces.

You sure can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within close proximity of someone who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then your eyes, nose or mouth. Beware of how is coronavirus spread out there.
