Coronavirus: Ontario confirms 1st cases of new COVID-19 variant in Canada

It is now certainly more important than ever that people follow the important lockdown rules because of the Coronavirus Covid-19 Pandemic and new dangerous virus variants.

Ontario confirmed Canada's first known cases of a new Coronavirus COVID-19 variant that was first identified in the U.K. but has been found in various countries including Belgium and Australia.

The Ontario province made the announcement on Saturday. Ontario said that the 2 cases were from the Greater Toronto Area and had no known travel history, exposure or certain high-risk contacts and are in self-isolation.

Studies suggest that the Coronavirus Variant is indeed more transmissible.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is in contact with UK officials over the emergence of a new variant of Covid-19. The new strain is spreading more rapidly than the original version, but is not believed to be more deadly.
